Research Grants

*APPLICATIONS ARE NOW CLOSED*

As part of its mission to minimise the harm caused by wounds, Wounds Australia offers grants to support wound research in Australia.

We offered three grants in 2024:

  • 1 x $10,000 AUD
  • 2 x $5000 AUD

Grant applications must adhere to our Research Grant Guidelines.

Proposals were sought for projects that investigate a significant problem or major issue in the theory or practice of wound management or prevention, or that aim to develop new knowledge in either fundamental or applied areas related to wounds, including health policy; for example, but not restricted to:

  • Assessment and/or prevention of pressure injuries
  • Wound infection
  • Wound assessment
  • Wound-specific quality of life measures
  • Strategies to translate evidence into practice
  • Funding mechanisms.

Multidisciplinary, innovative research was encouraged. New investigators, early career researchers and/or research students were encouraged to apply.
