Wounds Australia is now accepting applications for two biennial funding opportunities: Research Grants, and Memorial Scholarship. Grants and scholarships are an exclusive member benefit and part of our commitment, as the national peak body, to improving wound care for more Australians. Wounds Australia Research GrantsWe are pleased to offer two grants - one worth $5000 and one worth $10,000 - to support wound care research. We are seeking proposals for projects that address a significant challenge in the theory or practice of wound management or prevention, or that aim to generate new knowledge in fundamental or applied wound-related research, including health policy. Wounds Australia members are encouraged to review the grant guidelines and submit their research proposals by 5pm AEST on Friday 1 May 2026. Submissions will be reviewed by the Wounds Australia Research Committee and winners contacted in July. Wounds Australia Memorial ScholarshipThe scholarship, in honour of Charles Lucre, Helen Dengate, Janet Vincent, Winifred Felle, and Sandy Dean who played pivotal roles in advancing wound care in Australia, aims to support current members in making their own contributions to the sector. We are offering up to $2,000 to support attendance at the Wounds Australia Conference and professional learning event(s), which may include registration and/or travel and accommodation. The Wounds Australia Board, in conjunction with our Research Committee, will choose the scholarship recipient. Multiple recipients may be awarded. Wounds Australia members are invited to submit their applications by 5pm AEDT, Sunday 1 March 2026. Stay updated on the latest research at the Wounds Australia 2026 ConferenceJoining us in Adelaide, 23-26 August, for the biennial Wounds Australia Conference?
