EOI now open for Chair of the new First Nations Advisory Committee

The Wounds Australia Board is now accepting nominations for the Chair of the upcoming First Nations Advisory Committee (FNAC). The Chair will be selected from the members who nominate through an expression of interest.

Preferably a First Person, the Chair will be appointed for a term of 2 years and may serve a maximum of 3 terms (6 years in total). The Committee Chair will chair and manage regular committee meetings and will communicate effectively with their committee members and the CEO. The Chair will also prepare an FNAC report to be tabled following each committee meeting.

The committee is to provide advice and perspective on:

  1. Respecting and protecting First Nations heritage and culture
  2. Provide clear industry recognised clinical advice, knowledge and skills to clinicians and consumer communication
  3. Identify and recommend culturally appropriate training resources for clinicians
  4. Advocate, promote and endorse the benefits of engagement with First Nations peoples and communities to members, industry, Government, and stakeholders.
