Lightly Medical becomes a Wounds Australia Partner
Thursday, 5 February 2026

Wounds Australia is pleased to announce a new Silver Partnership with Lightly Medical, a growing Australian healthcare distributor dedicated to connecting clinicians with innovative, high-quality medical solutions. The partnership reflects a shared interest in strengthening wound care practice, supporting education and improving outcomes for people living with chronic wounds.

Innovation in venous leg ulcer healing

Lightly Medical's Melbourne-based founders Lucy and David Pilcher bring more than 20 years of combined healthcare distribution experience to the organisation, which brings clinically relevant products from around the globe to Australia and New Zealand. Their flagship product is the King's Award-winning GekoTM, an innovative medical device designed to improve VLU healing when combined with compression therapy, for which they are the exclusive distributors in ANZ.

By introducing targeted technologies that address real-world clinical challenges, Lightly Medical aims to support improved care across a range of settings, including wound management.

Wounds Australia CEO Jeff Antcliff said the partnership comes at an important time for the sector.

"As demand for effective wound care continues to grow across acute, aged care and community settings, partnerships like this are vital," Mr Antcliff said. "Lightly Medical shares our commitment to evidence-based practice and clinician education, and we're pleased to welcome them as a Silver Partner."

Supporting the next generation of wound care leaders

As a Silver Partner, Lightly Medical will support Wounds Australia's ongoing work to elevate standards of wound care through professional education, sector advocacy and awareness-raising nationwide. Additionally, they are generously sponsoring eight memberships for students of Monash University's Masters of Wound Care course, giving a new cohort access to valuable ongoing training and support.

Lightly Medical Director Lucy Pilcher said partnering with Wounds Australia aligned strongly with the organisation's purpose.

"Wounds Australia plays a critical role in championing best practice wound care and supporting the established and emerging clinicians who deliver it every day," Ms Pilcher said. "We're proud to partner with a respected national peak body and look forward to contributing to initiatives that make a real difference for both clinicians and patients."

Wounds Australia recognises the important role industry partners play in advancing wound care knowledge and supporting innovation, while maintaining a strong focus on ethical engagement and education.

"Strong, values-aligned partnerships help us extend our reach and deepen our impact," Mr Antcliff said. "We look forward to working with Lightly Medical to support clinicians and ultimately improve outcomes for people living with wounds."
