Swelling in legs is not normal and it shouldn't be ignored, according to Wounds Australia CEO Jeff Antcliff, in a recent interview with ABC Radio. 

And it's the message of Beat the Swell, a national day of education and learning on 19 February 2026 that spotlights the causes and consequences of lower limb swelling.
