There are many benefits to being a member of the national peak body for wound care, Wounds Australia. Here are just a few of the great opportunities closing soon.

Life Member nominations close 1 March

Wounds Australia Life Membership recognises individuals who have made significant and lasting contributions to wound management in Australia or internationally.

Life Members are awarded every two years, announced at the Wounds Australia Conference and join an elite group whose work has significantly advanced wound research or practice. Nominations are open now, and eligible individuals are encouraged to nominate themselves. We invite other Wounds Australia members to consider nominating colleagues whose commitment and impact warrant this recognition.

Conference abstract submissions and early bird pricing closing soon

The Wounds Australia 2026 Conference is a biennial opportunity for clinicians and researchers to share evidence, innovation and experience, and to network. 

Abstract submissions

Clinicians and researchers are invited to submit abstracts for oral or poster presentations at the conference. More information can be found on the Wounds Conference website.

Abstract submissions close: 5pm AEDT on 30 January 2026

Our early bird period offers heavily reduced rates and access to workshop packages for a limited time.

Early bird registration closes: 27 March 2026. Register now.

Memorial Scholarships applications close 1 March

The scholarship offers up to $2000 to support attendance at the Wounds Australia Conference or other professional learning events, to help our members continue to upskill, improve their practice and engage with others in the sector. Multiple recipients may be awarded.

Applications close: 5pm AEDT on Friday 1 March 2026

Wounds Australia members are invited to submit their applications on the website.

Research Grant applications close 1 May

Wounds Australia Research Grants support projects that advance knowledge and improve outcomes in wound management and prevention.

In this application round, funding is available for projects that address a significant issue in wound care theory or practice, or that contribute new knowledge in fundamental or applied wound-related research, including health policy.
