Keep learning this STOP PI Day with Wounds Australia
Tuesday, 28 October 2025

Pressure injury (PI) is a hugely impactful wound type affecting millions globally. Best practice prevention and management are key to healing and, each year, care professionals around the world use STOP PI Day – on the third Thursday of every November – as a chance to upskill and spread awareness of PI. Here's what's happening at Wounds Australia in celebration of STOP PI Day on Thursday 20 November.

Free online learning

Embedding best practice into a range of care settings around the nation is key to improving care for more people. On STOP PI Day 2025, we've invited two amazing experts to teach the fundamentals of pressure injury prevention, treatment and management in a FREE webinar that is open to all.

Danielle Veldhoen is a Senior Podiatrist at SALHN's Podiatry High Risk Foot Clinic with more than 20 years of experience in working with complex and chronic foot wounds. She'll be in conversation with Professor Christina Parker of QUT, Chair of Wounds Australia's Research Committee. Together they will share insights from practice and research in 'Under Pressure: Preventing, Recognising and Managing Lower Limb Pressure Injuries'.

Whether you're an aged care worker, a disability carer, a community nurse, an allied health practitioner, a GP or pharmacist – this one has something for everyone.

Join us 12-12.30pm AEDT for free lunchtime learning (or a mid-morning tea break in WA!). Register free today. Certificates will be issued to attendees for 30 minutes of professional development.

Thanks to our generous sponsor LINET – Wounds Australia Gold Partner and maker of the world's best care beds – for supporting the event.
