Welcome to new affiliate Hong Kong Enterostomal Therapists Association
Tuesday, 5 August 2025

We're pleased to announce a new affiliation with Hong Kong Enterostomal Therapists Association (HKETA). A memorandum of understanding signed this week formalises a longstanding collaboration of more than two decades beginning with the co-development of the Venous Leg Ulcer Guidelines in 2002.

HKETA is a leading professional nursing organisation in Hong Kong, advancing evidence-based practice in stoma, wound and continence care. Since its founding in 2000, it has supported nurses through education, resources and regional partnerships.

The affiliation reflects the organisations' shared commitment to improving patient outcomes through best practice, professional development and stronger global connections in wound care.

Wounds Australia CEO Jeff Antcliff said that this agreement recognises a trusted and enduring partnership "This affiliation with HKETA is a natural next step in our shared commitment to improving outcomes for people living with wounds," said Mr Antcliff. "By formalising our relationship, we're strengthening international ties, supporting clinicians through access to shared knowledge and resources, and reinforcing our dedication to advancing evidence-based care across the region."

The affiliation is designed to:

  • Foster cross-pollination of research, events and other activities undertaken by each organisation
  • Enhance collaboration in international events such as conferences
  • Provide value to members of each organisation through discounts and special offers.
