EOIs invited for VLUG Committee Wounds Australia Representative
Monday, 7 July 2025

Expressions of interest are now open for two exciting VLU-related opportunities: to represent Wounds Australia in the VLUG Committee, and to join the VLUG Small Working Group.

Apply now for a chance to contribute to the future of venous leg ulcer knowledge and practice.

Join the VLUG Committee

The APAC-based committee reviews the Australian and New Zealand Clinical Practice Guideline for Prevention and Management of Venous Leg Ulcers consensus document, initially developed by the Australian Wound Management Association and New Zealand Wound Care Society in 2011.

An updated version is currently in production, with individual sections being published as they become available, beginning with an 'Assessment' section in April 2025.

If you are passionate about VLUs, this is your chance to contribute to the next Guideline update. As this is a Board-appointed position, you will receive an appointment letter from the Wounds Australia Board. Responsibilities include regular online meetings.

EOIs for representing Wounds Australia on the VLUG Committee close at 11.59pm AEST on Thursday 24 July 2025.

We encourage all Wounds Australia members to consider applying. Please send a short resumé (maximum of 3 pages) and a 200-word statement addressing why you wish to be considered for the representative position to admin@woundsaustralia.org

VLUG Small Working Group Volunteer

The Venous Leg Ulcer Guideline Committee is now seeking expressions of interest for Small Working Group (SWG) volunteers. Volunteers will be acknowledged for their contribution by name in the updated guidelines.

EOIs for joining the VLUG Small Working Group close at 11.59pm AEST on Friday 25 August 2025.

Successful applicants will be informed by email by Friday 12 September 2025. We encourage all Wounds Australia members who meet the criteria laid out in the form to consider applying.

Please submit the following to Kathleen Finlayson

Please note the differing deadlines for applications.
