Tuesday, 25 February 2025

Wounds Australia is proud to announce Linet as its newest Gold Corporate Member. A global leader in the design and manufacture of advanced care beds, chairs, and stretchers, Linet is the first company of its kind to join Wounds Australia as a corporate partner. This partnership strengthens our network of organisations dedicated to improving the care and treatment of chronic wounds across Australia.

Chronic wounds present a growing challenge worldwide, affecting millions and placing significant pressure on healthcare systems. In Australia, around 450,000 people live with chronic wounds each year, contributing to an estimated $6.6 billion in costs to the health and aged care sectors annually.

About Linet

Linet offers a comprehensive range of products designed to meet the specific needs of patients with chronic wounds. Their advanced care beds, chairs, stretchers, and mattress systems are tailored to enhance the care experience for those with complex, long-term wound care requirements in acute, rehabilitation, and long-term care settings.

Linet's portfolio includes active, hybrid, and passive mattress systems that ensure optimal comfort and skin protection for patients with chronic wounds. Their advanced care beds and stretchers improve mobility, support caregivers, reduce the risk of pressure injuries, and optimise overall wound care delivery. Through their commitment to healthcare innovation, Linet provides essential solutions for patients with chronic wounds, enhancing comfort and support across various healthcare settings.

In addition to their diverse product range, Linet plays a key role in helping healthcare providers deliver high-quality care that balances patient comfort with the specific needs of chronic wound management. Their solutions are designed to improve outcomes for those with chronic wounds, streamline care processes, and address the growing demand for specialised wound care services in the healthcare sector.

This partnership aligns closely with Wounds Australia's ongoing efforts to improve healthcare standards for people living with chronic wounds. As part of this commitment, we are hosting the launch of the updated Prevention and Treatment of Pressure Ulcers/Injuries: Clinical Practice Guideline: the International Guideline (4th Edition), scheduled for 28 February 2025 in Sydney. The event will feature leading experts in the field, including Professor Keryln Carville, Professor Zena Moore, who will talk about the International Guideline and how it helps work towards solving the worldwide problem of pressure injuries, and Dr. Dinesh Palipana OAM, who will share a lived experience perspective.

We look forward to working closely with Linet, leveraging their expertise to improve care for those living with chronic wounds. Together, we aim to make a meaningful impact on wound care delivery across Australia, ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care possible.
