Wounds Australia now affiliated with The Lindsay Leg Club® Foundation

Wounds Australia is thrilled to announce a new affiliation with The Lindsay Leg Club® Foundation (LCF). Together, the organisations will work to raise awareness of the prevention and management of wounds.

The affiliation recognises each organisation's contributions to the national and international healthcare setting, with a shared focus on enhancing health system performance and improving wound outcomes through prevention and effective management. 

Wounds Australia CEO Jeff Antcliff said Wounds Australia is pleased to formalise the affiliation with LCF, the charity behind the global Leg Club® Movement, designed to care for people suffering from or at risk of chronic leg disease within a social model of care. 

"Our organisations share a commitment to the championing of person-centred approaches that support healing and education," said Mr Antcliff. "Together, we can improve on how wound care is delivered both in Australia and internationally." 

The affiliation will focus on: 

  • Establishing a partnership between LCF and Wounds Australia to raise awareness of each organisation within their supporters/membership 
  • Utilise LCF's and Wounds Australia's experience in cross-pollinating information and resources to better support people with problems of the lower limb and foot 
  • Increase awareness of the need for consumer education on wound prevention, identification and awareness of when to seek treatment. 

Member benefits

As part of the affiliation: 

  • One Wounds Australia Representative will be allocated free registration to future LCF conferences 
  • One LCF Representative will be allocated free registration to the Wounds Australia conference 
  • LCF will be allocated a space at the Wounds Australia Conference 
  • Ongoing collaboration between the organisations will include expert sourcing, resource development and knowledge sharing of prevention and management of wounds.
