The Federal Government's Chronic Wound Consumables Scheme is now live, with a formal launch by Minister for Health Mark Butler MP planned for Wednesday 18 June. Wounds Australia - having played a key role in advocating for the Scheme for many years - has been invited to attend the launch in Adelaide, providing expert insights into how clinicians and patients might benefit from the Scheme, and representing the wound care sector. We will be reporting back on the event on Facebook and LinkedIn and in the next edition of The Gauzette. The launch runs parallel to a gearing up of the consumer wound awareness campaign, Be Wound Aware, that Wounds Australia was funded to execute until 2027. In July we will be hosting exclusive member briefings on its highlights in the lead-up to Wound Awareness Week. Stay tuned for more information on this. A reminder that training essential to participating in the Scheme, run by Monash University, can be found on the Wound Education and Training Directory. |
