Wounds Australia is proud to announce an affiliation with the Association for the Advancement of Wound Care (AAWC), the leading multidisciplinary wound care organisation in the United States. The partnership represents an exciting step forward in our mission to improve the lives of people affected by chronic wounds, establishing an international collaboration that will enhance knowledge-sharing. Together, Wounds Australia and AAWC will work to raise global awareness of wound prevention and care, support clinicians through shared resources, and strengthen education for both health professionals and the wider community. Wounds Australia CEO Jeff Antcliff said he was pleased to forge the alliance at the EWMA 2025 Conference in Barcelona last month. "Everyone at Wounds Australia is greatly looking forward to working with the AAWC team, and to creating long-lasting connections with this sector leader." AAWC President Kara Couch said: "I am extremely excited to partner with Wounds Australia to advance our shared mission of caring for those with or at risk for wounds so that we may double our impact to directly help our patients and carers." ![]() Pictured from L-R: AAWC Immediate Past President Barbara Bates-Jensen and President Kara Couch with Wounds Australia Board Chair Kerry May and CEO Jeff Antcliff at the EWMA 2025 Conference in Barcelona.
