Our advocacy work.

Wounds Australia is the peak health body for the diagnosis, treatment, management and healing of wounds, providing services and support to healthcare professionals, and for people living with wounds, their families and communities.

We're committed to developing and driving changes to health and aged care systems that will improve health outcomes for people living with wounds, while raising the status of the highly qualified healthcare professionals who support, care for and treat them.

Wounds Australia Advocacy work is built on evidence-based research, and on the expertise and experience of our members. We strive to drive change at national, state/territory and local levels by working with Members of Parliament, governments, industry partners and other important stakeholders.

Our advocacy activities include policy development, awareness-raising campaigns like Wound Awareness Week, and education and professional development events including the biennial Wounds Australia Conference.

These are just some of our recent campaigns.
