Wounds Australia is pleased to announce a new affiliation with Continence Health Australia (CHA), the national peak body promoting bladder and bowel control health.

A memorandum of understanding was signed today in Melbourne by Wounds Australia Board Chair Kerry May and CHA CEO Jim Cooper, pictured with CHA Partnership Lead Rosa Siderelis (left) and Wounds Australia CEO Jeff Antcliff (right).

The MoU is the first formal agreement between the two peaks and acknowledges the significant relationship between continence health and chronic wounds.

Wounds Australia CEO Jeff Antcliff said Wounds Australia was proud to align with Continence Health Australia, which works to advance knowledge and awareness of continence health issues and to represent the Australians living with them.

"Our organisations share similar goals in terms of education and advocacy," Mr Antcliff said. "Together, we hope to be able to better address and alleviate the difficulties of people living with continence issues and comorbidities like chronic wounds."

Forging an alliance

The MoU outlines benefits to members of both bodies, including an annual joint professional learning opportunity, discounted event tickets and resource sharing, as well as potential opportunities for research and campaign support.
