Advanced Healing Innovations

Diabetes-related foot wounds disproportionately affect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples living in the NT. These foot wounds can have a profound impact on a person's quality of life, with extended periods of time off Country for treatment required if not addressed early.
Early detection and management of foot wounds is paramount. In this Wounds Australia professional learning session, our expert presenters discussed the role of Podiatry, and the importance of wound offloading techniques, debridement, and dressing selection to optimise foot wound healing outcomes.
