WELCOME TO WOUNDS AUSTRALIA

Meet our Corporate Partners
We're delighted to share that we have renewed partnerships with some of our most valued industry partners for 2024/25 - and we're pleased to welcome aboard some exciting new partners! Thank you to everyone for their support.

Meet Clare Callow
Welcome to Clare Callow, the Communications Project Officer managing the 3.5-year chronic wound consumer awareness campaign funded under the Chronic Wound Consumables Scheme. Clare has extensive experience in communications in not-for-profits, especially in the health sector, and joined the organisation on 27 June.

A reminder that the rest of the Wounds Australia team, all based in Melbourne and reporting to CEO Jeff Antcliff, are:

  • Emma Noble, Communications & Engagement Director (emma.noble@woundsaustralia.org)
  • Grant Leis, Events & Membership Officer (grant.leis@woundsaustralia.org)
  • Bianca Ascher, Administration Officer (admin@woundsaustralia.org)

REGISTRATIONS CLOSING SOON!

Thanks to Wounds Australia Gold Partner Coloplast for this exciting professional learning opportunity in which expert presenter Donna Larsen (nee Angel) will:
  • discuss how to assess, plan, treat, monitor and refer common lower limb wounds
  • highlight red flags indicating atypical wounds to ensure appropriate treatment and, where necessary, timely referral
  • provide access to the Wound Type Specific Pathways for VLU and DFU to support your learning and translation to practice.
All this, completely free! Thanks to Coloplast for sharing this event.
Send us your stories!
Wound Awareness Week is just around the corner: 2-8 September. One of the best ways to educate the community on the scale of our wound problem is using real-life stories. Wound Champions like Bella Fitzgibbon come from every walk of life and generously share their lived experience of wounds with the world. Read Bella's story.

Do you work with people living with chronic wounds who might help? Are you a clinician with an interesting story to share? Email Emma Noble for a confidential chat about requirements: emma.noble@woundsaustralia.org.

June issue of WPR Journal
In a new story in the Wounds Australia news centre, we take a look at the excellent contributions in our new edition, from reducing N95 mask-related pressure injuries in healthcare professionals by Chang et al to a review of global research on the assessment, management and prevention of acute wounds from Finlayson et al.

You'll also find details of how to submit your research to WPR's editorial team.
