Life Membership
A new Life Member is awarded at each Wounds Australia Conference, with the next award taking place at the 2026 Conference in Adelaide, 23-26 August.
Nominations for 2026 opened on 1 December 2025 and close on 1 March 2026.
Wounds Australia Life Membership is a prestigious award of Wounds Australia, established to recognise significant service to the organisation or those who have made a significant contribution to wound management in Australia or internationally.
Life Member status is a distinction conferred by Wounds Australia on full members in recognition of outstanding contributions to the advancement of the science and practice of wound management. This award recognises achievements in diverse domains including academic, professional, clinical, legislative, or other meritorious accomplishments.
Life Members are Wounds Australia members who have delivered outstanding leadership in at least one of the following categories:
Life Member status is a distinction conferred by Wounds Australia on full members in recognition of outstanding contributions to the advancement of the science and practice of wound management. This award recognises achievements in diverse domains including academic, professional, clinical, legislative, or other meritorious accomplishments.
Life Members are Wounds Australia members who have delivered outstanding leadership in at least one of the following categories:
- Outstanding contribution to Wounds Australia Board, Portfolio, Working Group, Committee or Sub-committee activities
- Educational leadership
- Research leadership
- Clinical leadership.
Nominations may be made by a financial member of Wounds Australia.
Nominations should:
- Not exceed 2 x A4 pages including a covering letter addressing how the candidate meets the Life Membership Award categories
- Include the candidate's full Curriculum Vitae
- Include the signed consent of the candidate.
