An education evening exploringthe complexities and challenges of maintaining and protecting the skin integrity of our older clients. A minor traumatic injury in an older adult can potentially become a major long-term wound requiring complex care and multiple resources, causing frustration, pain and reliance on medical and nursing services.
Whether you area beginner or veteran, you will find this evening relevant, interesting and informative.

• Pressure injury prevention and management in the older adult
• Benign skin lesions in elder patients and inflammatory skin conditions in older adults
• The WRAP: Wound Resource Action Plan (evidence-based wound management in a rehabilitation setting)

Certificates of attendance will be issued for those who attend in-person or via livestream, equivalent to 2.25hours of CPD. For those attending via livestream, you must attend a minimum of 50% of the livestream in order to receive a certificate.
